Rachel Rocha was born as the 7th child of 16 children, to Margarito and Eluteria De la Rosa on June 8, 1933 in Pharr, Texas. She was baptized at an early age into the Baptist Church, and loved to talk about the day that she would meet her Lord and Savior.

Rachel was a great cook, dedicated mother, grandmother, and wife. She was an advocate of equality and lovingly helped family, friends and neighbors in assisting them obtain citizenship. She was a generous soul who was loved by many and will be missed by all her knew her.

Rachel was predeceased by her parents, and grandson, John Ramon Dandrige III.

Rachel leaves behind her son; Raul Teran and wife Joetta, grandchildren; Danielle Marie Dandrige, Christopher Michael Teran and Rachel Marie Teran, siblings; and many other relatives and friends.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to be made in their name to the Dallas Fire-Rescue Department or American Heart Association:
Dallas Fire-Rescue Department Fire Prevention & Investigation Bureau: their outreach program educates Dallas citizens about the dangers of carbon monoxide.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
Funeral Services will be Monday, June 19, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church, 8131 Military Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75227, and will be followed by Committal Services at 1:30 P.M. at the Dallas Forth Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
