Quanah Parker Kerr was born January 26, 1933 in Hugo, Oklahoma the son of Manuel Kerr and Willie Mae (Adams) Kerr. Quanah was the youngest of their children and grew up in the Hugo area. He was a 1952 graduate of Hugo High School and his continuing education included Technology Trade School and the University of Maryland. He served his country as a Ranger in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Quanahs' employment career included Temco Aircraft, Statler Hilton, GEC and Xerox.

Quanah married the love of his life, Doris Adelmeier in Neckarsulm, Germany on March 3, 1956. He was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church of Garland, TX and a member of the Buckner R C Masonic Lodge of Dallas, TX. He loved life, nature and animals. His favorite things were: dogs, ice cream, peanut butter, old cars, the History Channel and the Cowboys. Quanah spent weekends on the land he was born on and called it his 2nd home. With his giving heart he took care of many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Doris (Adelmeier) Kerr, siblings, Alvis Ray Kerr and Loraine Kerr.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE: two daughters: Blanka Anderson & husband, Steve of Dallas, TX and Tessa Brown & husband, Steve of Fort Worth, TX; grandsons: Lance Silva & wife, Marisa of Fort Worth, TX and Dylan Brown & husband, Rigo of Boulder, CO; God daughters: Laquita Norton and Karena Gordon and his constant companion his dog, Pia along with many extended family and friends.
