John Harris Herndon, Jr. Obituary

John was born December 1, 1940 to John Harris Herndon, Sr. and O.D. Humphries Herndon in Timpson, Texas. He attended Timpson schools and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He maintained his Professional Engineering status even after he retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Johnny Doris Herndon Olds and his step-brother Billie Coleman.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years Dorothy (Dotty) O'Hagan Herndon of Garland, his sister Joyce Herndon Williamson of Rockwall, two nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and several cousins.

John will be interred in the Herndon family plot in Woodlawn Cemetery in Timpson, Texas. No services are planned at this time.
